Talking 88' 4Runner ( clip things...? )

Hello,

Does anyone have a good alternative for the clips that hold the plastic thing inbetween the door and removeable cap ( says toyota 4runner on the bottom 1/3 rd of it ). Mine are faded REALLY bad and i found 2 good replacements. I called Toyota to see how much replacement clip/holders are and they are $ 3.04 a piece. There are 10 of those things for a total of over $30...... for little plastic clips...... got to be something out there. Thanks in advance.

Check at an ACE Hardware store.. They have those drawers with all kinds of hardware, and they have a great assortment of body clips and other odd fasteners also.

I know the one over here on Mountain Road has all kinds of stuff. You should be able to find something that works.

I went to Napa and bought some white body panel clip things for mine. They are almost exactly the same.

x2 on 4crawlers write up, i removed mine when i painted it, but ended up only breaking 2 clips and was able to reuse the rest. iirc, there is 2 that hold side to side movement and 3 for up and down, if you break the correct one you should be able to get the rest out, but i found that out the hard way lol
