86 4Runner finally home! (wreck)
Still new here so a little background...
Bought my first yota pickup 12/08 from a friend for cheap, made it legal, fixed many small items, fit some 31" BFGs and it runs great and does everything I currently need it to. However that frame is very rotten from the 90 thousand tons of salt thrown on our roads every year over here. Anyway I got a 4Runner for free out of the deal that has half a motor, half a body, and A LOT less rot than the pickup(frame anyway). Yesterday I finally annoyed my friend enough to get in his 06 tundra with his trailer and get it to my house.
pics of course...
pickup in december with the 33x12.5s first...
And the 4Runner yesterday right off the trailer...
So 2 Toyota trucks, one with a rotted frame, and one with a decent frame but bad almost everything else. I have some work to do but hey I'm saving a yota from the scrap yard
They're not pretty, nothing in comparison to many of the beautiful rigs all you have but They're all mine. Also just bought a new toolbox, got everything organized, and am tearing into this project every free chance I get
Updates to come.

Thats one heck of a project. But you will know your rig inside and out when you are done.
Is the pickup a manual or auto? If its manual, are you converting over the 4Runner to a 5 speed? The 2nd 4Runner I bought was a 22re auto, and it was gutless. Now the 22re 5 speed, not much better, but still a little bit easier on the motor, and better gas mileage.
Keep us posted with the pics...

Updates, pics!
No kidding...
The grille still has to go.
Well got some work done last night and today after the moms day thing. Started by cleaning the trash and leaves out. A pile of bolts, about 5 dollars in change, someone's medical insurance card, and who know what later I started taking pics:
Cleaned out, Rear seats, trim, belts and carpet out..
Tailgate, grille, lamps, left fender, rear electrical off and she topless
And a few other things after dark which I will snap some pics of tomarrow. Suppost to be getting some good rain soon so she had some help from the pickup:
Still alot of work ahead but It's comming along, can't wait to get this thing out there.
