4runner camper hoist options?
Any suggestions for a system to store my camper in the garage? I'm not an engineer or a boy scout but I can follow directions and do simple carpentry/sheetrock...
My '88's never had the top off. As much as I'd like to keep the factory seal in place the weather is too nice right now and I want to break in the convertible.
Has anyone had experience with this brand camper hoist? I found it on ebay.

It appears that they are supplying the straps, ceiling hardware and pulleys for $130. Is there are better or more inexpensive way to do this that is documented online?

Thanks in advance!

I used two 3 inch wide ratchet straps ran one through the front slider windows
and after I got it up about3 inches then I fed the other one under the gap on the back about 6 inches from the back of the hardtop.
hope what I said makes sense if not I will retype it later

Thanks for the suggestions
I've got some pretty good examples to work from. I will have to locate the joists in the ceiling of my garage to implement this type of system since the garage is finished with sheetrock but I think this will work.
May have to wait until spring. An artic blast just blew into Texas this week cooling off the area too much for a convertible. Either way I appreciate the suggestions and will be posting some pics of my vehicle soon.
thanks!
