3.0 - Is mine rebuildable?

I can't change the subject to my original post. Can someone look at the pics of my block and giv their opinion on whether I should continue to tear it down, or should I find a new block?

Personally, I'd get a new block.

If you are near southern california you can have my '89 3.0 block with the crank still in it, free. Both in good shape, no damage, sitting at the side of my house covered. Toss it the hot tank and a can of spray paint will make it new. You will need to pick it up, no shipping.

Grr, too bad I'm in PA. Sure you wouldn't ship it?

I really don't want to deal with shipping heavy items. If it's still sitting here around x-mas shut down then I might consider it.

A the very least the block rods and crank are junk. Possibly heads and valves were damaged too.

If I were you, I'd swap in a 3.4 and be done with the 3.slow. But if you are determined to polish the turd you'll need to pick up a new motor to rebuild.

Final pics of the 3.0 are in my original post. I was hoping to rebuild this motor piece by piece, having just bought a house and was going to build as I had cash. So, I either need to get a different short block, long block or a 3.4 swap. All being said, it will be a while longer than I had hoped. Pics of the heads are up there, they don't appear to have any visible damage. Of course, I haven't removed the valves or checked for warpage.
