2nd gen lever/handle in cargo area. what is it?

Hi all,
Hoping someone can shed some light on what the little lever/handle things are for in the cargo area. Im referring to the ones that are just behind the rear seats on the inside of the c pillar so to speak. They seem like they want to rotate towards the roof but i have no idea what theyre for and i dont want to force/break them

My 4runner is parked at work so I will try and look.

Does it have anything to do with the seats folding down ??

Ok !!

After looking I think what you may be talking about are the clips to hold the seat belts when the seats are folded front.

These are to keep the belts from rubbing from being stuck under the folded seats.

I had no clue because my rear seat has never been used but to haul stuff (junk)never any Humans
I was typing this before you posted your pictures

So in fact it does have to do with the seats folding

There is a sticker on the right side of my 4Runner explaining what they are.
