The clamps that use a screw driver I always use a ratchet with a 8mm or 10mm rather than a srew driver. What ever sive they are?

OEM Toyota hoses are far superior to local auto parts hoses and not expensive. Same with the hose clamps.

You shouldn't have to tighten the bajeesus out a clamp to make the hoses not leak.

OEM radiators are easily repaired and/or serviced at a local radiator shop. Much higher quality than the stuff you can buy now and usually cost only about $50.

If only I knew then what I know now...
Aftermarket hoses I've ran into are crap. Cut to fit POS's.

Used a ratchet and an 8mm and I got no leaks as of now. Did have to really tighten em super tight though. As long as it works I'm ok with it however.

Good on the no leaks. I'm a bit surpised you had to crank those clamps down that hard though, but, hey, it worked out for you.

Cool learned that the hard way over the years. If you buy cheap hoses and cheap clamps you'll have to tighten the crap out of them...
