1992 toyota Pickup No Overdrive

Okay guys I'm lost here... i have a 1992 toyota pickup dx 22re 4 cylinder automatic 4x4.... i recently drove through a lot of Ohio rain and pot holes and which cause my CEL and OD OFF light to start flashing... seemed to drive fine for awhile. After a few days, I was driving down the highway, good 20 - 30mins and I felt the OD kick off and it seemed like it was searching for it... i parked it and went into my interview (it was a good start to the day to say the least). I came back out, let it warm up like normal and left. All the gears shifted fine, except no OD... pulled the ECU cover to see a rust hole that let water in and splashed onto the computer... i checked the codes and there were none... idk what's going on. Is it a solenoid? Broken wire? Bad Ecu?. I replaced the temp sensor (the one on the right of the 2 sensors on the intake on front), a new stant thermostat, good mixed coolant, and did a trans service and cleaned the metal screen filter, still no change.... any help or leads will be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys

I would check the TPS as described here on page EG1-197 and EG1-198...

Also check the tcm for codes. I don't recall the exact procedure, but a search will turn it up. The flashing od light means there should be one stored...

Codes: http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...17diagnosi.pdf

It would help to know what transmission you have; it's listed on the door pillar.

Of course, there should NEVER be water on the ECU; it just doesn't get along with electrons.

Yeah, I had the Solas Pro on it and I don't have any codes... the trans is a340f.

Does the Solas Pro read TRANSMISSION codes? They require a different setup (shown in the page I cited) than for engine codes.

If the Solas Pro doesn't read transmission codes, you're going to need this much more expensive tool: http://www.staples.com/OIC-3-Size-Pa...product_525915

Pull the plugs on the trans and some use dielectric grease or WD40 for quick.
Might have water in the trans harness switch.
