On my way back from school I suddenly couldn't get it to shift into gears while running. When I started off I was able to get into 1st and move around but then couldn't get into 2nd, 3rd and so on. When I turn it off however I'm able to shift through every gear normally. I've already checked fluid levels and the master brake cylinder. We bleed everything out and put in fresh DOT3 brake fluids but still no cheese. What else can I do or check before dragging my but to the mechanic?

you say you checked the "master brake cylinder". Not trying to be "that guy" but you need to check your clutching system. Just checking.

Is your fork broken or bent? Possibly unattatched from the bearing or the piviot point?

Just to check, you are aware that you don't need a cluth pedal to shift right? From a stop, leave it in gear, vehicle off. clutch pedal in, turn the key and you'll start moving. to shift, just move the shifter, when it hits the right rpm it will drop in. Same when down shifting. Except when going to the gear lower you have to rev the engine a bit to hit the right rpm so it will drop in. Every time you come to a stop sign you shave to shut it off and put it in gear and wait for traffic to move before you turn the key. Not the best for it mechanically, but it will get you to the shop if need be.
