Thats a bummer man, add an ignition killswitch this time one or two of those bad boys will stop any theif in their tracks
79 to 95 can be broken into VERY easily with minimal tools, i wont go into any detail. People steal them to wheel them, part them out, or use parts on their personal rig (common around here) Theyre actually very popular and valuable to most... around here at least
For the life of me, I do not know why people steal so many Toyota trucks out west. I see many threads on this subject. These trucks aren't worth anything for the most part. For the most part, you probably could not give away Toyota trucks here in the northeast. Who wants to steal a rusted Toyota truck? Maybe that is why that do not steal our trucks over here!LOL! Good luck!
Also be on the lookout for someone in your area doing an auto to manual trans conversion. I believe that is why they stole your brake pedal.

well the lo jack i want has the alert thing in it. so if ur keys arent in ur truck when it starts it calls 5 ppl to tell them then u can call the cops. so the cops should be looking for it within like 20 min of them starting it. but the kill switch would be nice too. would a kill switch work if they pop the clutch too? or only if they try to break the ignition or hotwire it.

Not that this is going to help much now. But my uncle knows a thing or two about tracking people down, don't ask how because even I don't. If you had a original motor that was never replaced then you might be able to track the the VIN #. You also said the thieves offroaded it? So they know the area and likely were the original ones who broke into your truck, so that may mean they live close. You should check your local or near your location's Parts shops, junk yards, etc. for your motor and trans. They likely haven't sold it because let's face it, how many people do you see actually replacing a 22r.
