Quick header install question, clamp/weld or what?
So I got in my doug thorley header a couple days back and I was just looking to the install stuff for it. I figured it would mostly be in one piece except for where you bolt it together, but was not the case. So this is what I've got:
Pieces apart
Pieces together
They have about 8 inches of overlap when you put them together.
It's where it would attach to the cats, that length right before it. Do I weld these together once I get the proper length setup, do I clamp them (i thought I've seen something like that, but may be wrong), or what?

WELD, PERIOD, END OF STORY! Lol. How you been, Soccer? Nice one on the score of the DC Header.
Yeah, I had it done bcuz they gave me such a great deal. Just installed everything but the CAT and 'pipe-from collector to CAT'.... they welded that all in, even welded my collector flange to the pipe that goes back to the CAT, and welded the pipe from CAT to my Borla for under 80$ and REALLY nicely tucked and angled properly.
Best wishes, man,
Mark

Nice. That's what I like to hear. I'm doing good mark. The project is progressing well. I got around to replacing the major + and - wires in the engine bay the other night. She's up and running well. Should have the header on in a couple days, just gotta get the time to get in the garage.
