Question About Front Door Panels, Please Help!

Hey guys,
I have an 84 4runner that I need front door panels for. I found a nice pair that are from 84-89 but they are from a door which had power windows and a vent window (mine has neither...i have manual windows and no vent window). Would they still fit?? If not does anyone know a place where i could find some nice ones? I've looked on ebay and they're hard to come by in the salvage yards I live by. Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

yes ... they will fit .

you could actually gut the power doors , and remove the frame for the vent window(just a bolt in piece) , and replace with your manual stuff .. if you wanted .

They should swap with no problems other then posibly having to cut a hole for the window crank.
Other then that you can make your own very easily with a little 1/8" hard board, some thin foam, fabric and spray adhesive.
Just use the old panel as a pattern and cut and/or drill out the holes to match.
It's actually quite easy.

HUH ?

maybe I didnt make myself clear . YES it will bolt on .

what I was saying .. is once you have replaced the door .. you can GUT it , and put the original door stuff in .. so they match . there is NO drilling or cutting ..
there is only 1 door shell from 84-88. they are interchangeable .

That's what I was hoping...but i know there's a hole where the wires for the power window goes through the panel. If that isn't where the hole for the manual crank goes i would be effed cause I can't do fabricating work very well if i had to patch the hole and move it over a little. But the panel itself is the same size?? they're not longer for the models with vent windows?
Thanks for the help so far!

The panels are all the same for everything so far as lenght front to back goes. Base models only have a half panel top to bottom wise the bottom 1/3 was uncovered. On DLX models there was a full height vinyl covered panel and SR5 models had a full height vinyl but with the bottom 1/3 colour "matched" carpet. 1983 may have had a cloth on the SR5s.
84-88 models were the same except the SR5 had cloth for sure.
89-95 had full height vinyl on base and DLX models and cloth on SR5s.
Other differences included different armrests on different trim levels, door speakers 79-83 (depending on option pkg.) and so forth.

As for fabricating work don't worry the door skins are just about the easiest interior panel to fab. They are all flat. The armrests attach to the door itself not the skin as does the handle and everything else (except maybe the speaker box and map pockets).

"...there is only 1 door shell from 84-88. they are interchangeable..."
WRONG! The doors with wing windows are DIFFERENT from ones without. The frame for the wing window is welded to the door shell.

Re. the OP's questions: The rubber strip sealing against the window, and it's metal backing plate, are different for "vented" and "non-vented" interior panels. Although, you can use your old rubber strip and modify the backing plate without too much trouble. 'Don't know about the "holes".
