New Hi steer and powersteering box?

I just got done putting powersteering and hi steer on my 84 yota with(RUF) swap, and when the wheels are turned all the way one direction the pitman arm can keeps turning and possibly snap the box off the mounts, is this normal or is the a solution or something i missed?

Before you put the pitman arm on, did you turn the wheel both ways to make sure its exactly in the middle? If it isnt in the middle it will turn farther one way than the other. Also if you didnt do the same thing with the steering gear box before you connected it to the steering column you could have the same result.

Bottom of steering box shaft and pitman arm both have centering marks on them.

I never saw a mark on my pitman arm. Its aftermarket from TG. But the shaft definitely does

Probably talk to Trail Gear to find out how they want the alignment to be set. The alignment mark should be placed dead center on the small end of the arm, so that it is pointing straight back when centered, giving equal swing left and right. Counting turns on the box will get you pretty close, usually within a spline or two, then it comes down to trial and error.
