Are "MONROE" steering stabilizers and good for our trucks/runners?
Just purchased/and installed a new steering stabilizer (by "Monroe") for my rig:
I paid about 30 bucks for it new from a reputable discount parts...beats factory $100 US and factory looks kinda skinny too.
What are your guys thoughts? and do any of you use MONROE steering stabilizers?
ps-my steering does feel nice & sturdy now...

yeah, the grease is all over the place but at least its an original clean slate to work on. Hopefully, i can research how to do it and source a good kit. Have you ever used Monroe stuff before?

Found the part # - SC2914
Might be worth looking into. I have an aftermarket POS on there now. Free replacement though, and do it every 2 years or so. Even a "new" replacement is pretty wimpy. I found a retailer that has this for $24 (free shipping). I may get one soon.

I just got one of these, they are pretty decent. I compared it to the procomp and it seemed right on par, and I was told the monroe are made in the same place as them anyway. Also I paid $33.00 locally and it was the right part, and came with two different mounting brackets just in case there are variations on your rig.
