what is a better idea going lower gears in my tcase or getting a doubler kit.im not to sure wich would be a stronger way of getting lower geared.

It's a slippery slope, I started with a single 4.7 now I want more. so doubles are coming real soon. But if you start with doubles you'll have more gear options and you can always add 4.70 with time. Doubles is a more expensive set up.

Marlin seems to be the stronger set up, as far as I can tell.

I put in 4.7 cases for customers all the time who latter want the 2.28 low range and wished they had gone double. Money wise its cheaper to go with a 4.7 case and faster but we do both. What hill you climbing the river bar in ferndale?

devils backbone is hard on the clutch, and centerville is way to loose to be burning the clutch.lower gears would be less strain on the whole drivetrain
