Horn repair in 85 ExtraCab

After reading some threads here on Yota Tech I saw how easy it was to fix the horn proper by replacing the worn out brass contact pin. Before my new pin got here I rigged the horn by shimming the brass ring plate enough to contact the worn pin and the horn kind of worked.
Today I fixed it proper.

Removing the steering wheel this time was easy because I just replaced the heater core last week and had the wheel off then too but, that aside for me it was a breeze to change the pin.
I relieved tension in the small wire harness after removing the 4 set screws that hold the big switch down to the column and pulled the whole thing over the top of the steering shaft and held the pin up to remove the circlip.
The new pin from Toyota was only $5.00 and the new spring has quite a bit of tension compared to the old one so I had my buddy hold it in place while I put the new circlip in place.
After reinstalling the main signal, horn and wiper control switch and getting it all fastened in, the horn blew louder than I was prepared to hear and my neighbor was slightly irritated but, my horn works as designed now and it only cost $5.00 to do it right.

When I ordered the brass contact pin somehow they sent me an extra a week later and I now have an spare.
Does anyone want their horn to work with a fairly simple and inexpensive fix?

I could use it, my horn is broke. I pulled it out from the grill & jumped it off the battery & it worked so I know its not the horn. Might be this contact pin.

My horn doesn't work and I suspect it's the same ring issue. What's the part# and where did you order your's?

I too had the horn problem since when I bought my truck. I just got done replacing the pin. I searched for the part# all over for a while so if anyone else needs it it's:

Toyota part# 84312-20011 (it comes with the pin, spring and the little circlip).
