help with 22r
hey guys i just got my cab and motor back on my frame and the guy that had it before me has rigged up alot of the vacuum and radiator lines and blocked off some of the egr stuff and i can get it running but once it does it starts kicking and sputtering and i was wondering does anyone have pictures of a completely stock 22r engine so i can see how to hook up some of the vacuum lines, and also if i cant figure this out if i was to get a weber carb does that block off or get rid of most of my vaccum lines or do you still have alot of lines going every which way? and also the motor was completely rebuilt
thanks

So first of all, we need to know what year truck this 22r is going into. The emissions varied throughout the years. Everyone likes to complain about the vacuum lines on the 22r but once you take the time to learn what everything is, it really not that bad. I have rebuilt several 22r carbs and worked with the emissions on several different years of toyota trucks and I have several pics. As far as the weber goes...yes it will eliminate all of the vacuum lines except for the ones from the dizzy. If you do go with the weber I suggest getting the one piece adapter plate from LC Engineering.

its on a 85 pickup and the line that comes out of the timing chain cover for the radiator or what not are blocked off and on the exhaust there is two plates blocking 4 ports on the manifold and then there is a line that runs from the intake manifold for water i assume and its blocked off and several vaccum lines have been cut and and blocked and im not sure which lines go where thats why i was wanting some pics
thanks
thanks
