I picked up a used Kayline top no hardware over a year ago and finally got around to making a frame for it.


1”x2.5” 1/16 tube and some 1”x1/8 flat bar and away I go.
¾” electrical conduit

Oh also 55 snaps from a local upholstery shop

Nice job! Those tops are a pita. I have one too. Lol. I sure do love having it on though! I'm gonna redo the front though. I'm tired of pulling off the front seal every time.....

This is really good timing. I just picked up a used kayline and don't want to drill all those holes. Can you post some more picks of the roof channel? I'm going to fab this weekend. Also, do you think it's possible to modify the roof members to simulate the softopper to fold back together?

On the original bracketry, you can fold the frame work back over itself.

And this picture shows how the factory braces hold the top up.
