cam?

i got an 84 yota with an 8in lift 33 12.5's 22r with a high compression 20r head on it and im wantin to put a cam in it. any suggestions?

5 speed or auto?
axle gears?

I love my 268 with 35's and 5.29's 5 speed 75 mph no problem

I personally went with TRD. I got their stage one cam and I love it.

yeah 5 speed. its a daily driver but i do ALOT of trailin and wheelin. 5.29 gearing

does any one know if the trd stage 2 cam is smog legal?? i found one new for dirt cheap and wasnt sure if i would pass smog or what

Got my CAM from Delta Cam in Tacoma, WA

I think i paid like $50 for my 260. Just trade em your stock cam and they hand u a shiny new cam in whatever duration you want. I went with 260 and LOVE it!

Be sure to advance your timing =)

I've been running 10 deg just moved it to 12 tonight gonna see how that does for me. Climbing hills 5th gear, 37s and 5.29s 22r carb .. titties =D

Same here. Put a header on it and a full 2 1/4 exhaust and it works wonders.
