Glad to hear you got some squirrels

How does the new suspension feels? Have you driven it yet?

All my 27yr old stock shocks were dead. I noticed it doesn't bounce around anymore with the new shocks and stays planted to the ground, but it still feel stiff like a solid axle.

Getting 33x12.50x15 Goodyear Duratracs today! Will get some pics up soon.

Here are the promised pics of my new 33" Duratracs. They look awesome and my local Big O Tires was nice enough to mount them on a 15x7 rim and didn't care about my wheel spacers. Most shops won't do either of the above (America's Tire/Discount Tire) so props to them.

The 7" wide rims make them look beefy!

yeah I don't like it too tall..I'm already too short to jump in it
i just notice the rear looks like its sagging and for the driveshaft, i'm saving up for some 4crawler driveshaft spacers

Is that still the early, narrow rear end? No IFS rear yet? Or is it a camera angle illusion?

yeah its still narrow rear end. the front has 1.5" wheel spacers on it. Was gonna swap for IFS rear but decided to just run spacers all around to even it out, which are coming tomorrow. I believe you need to weld new spring perches for an IFS rear swap anyways..not sure though.

Nope. Mine bolted in. Spring perches, driveshafts, everything. But I got an '89 V6 Runner rear. But I don't think theres any differences in perches. Possibly driveshaft flange patterns but that's all I can think of...

Cool, I'll keep that in mind in the future. Notice any difference from the bigger drums?

Thanks!
No problems so far after the manual swap...everything is going great and she can do 70-75mph all day at 3k rpms. So much fun revving the crap out of it now.

Next upgrades are probably gonna be rock sliders and I am looking at any 3RZ donor rigs that I come across.

I swear every guy I pass in a Toyota looks at this rig

Sorry, I didn't know you had posted this Vang. I did notice an easier pedal with the bigger drums. Doesn't take as much effort to stop. And I do have steel wheels and 33s, but I've done the DD booster and 1"master as well. All bolt in upgrades. Well worth it.

On a side note, I found a 3RZ with 5spd, complete sitting in a Taco that the wrecking yard owner forgot he had.... He said he would take $500 for all that I cared to grab. I'm thinking about getting it for the 40 and building it turbo style. That should push an FJ40 around ok, don't ya think?
