’84, 22r truck,,,Coolant filling up the cab
Hi guys, new to the forums.
My friend’s 1984 22r standard truck seems to be filling up the passenger side floorboard with coolant, when he shuts it down.
I think it has something to do with the heater {no AC}
It would be great if anybody could help here with a possible fix.
I’d appreciate any impute on the issue, how to fix and what is happening.
Thanks a bunch,
Eric

Heater core. tell him to unhook the 2 hoses going to the 'firewall' and hook them together.... so it bypasses the heater core (no heater) ..
or he can just replace the heater core and remove the whole dash.

To replace the heater core you need to remove the complete dash, its not as hard as it looks, but its about a five hour job. Ive replaced heater cores on two 86 4Runners and its not hard to do, its just time consuming.
