well.(*&%&%#^(*!! steering linkages
So I'm on my way home from work today and I hear this funny noise as I come to a stop. Kind of a creaking/grating noise. Uh oh...sounds like a wheel bearing about to drop my wheel off!
I turn down a residential street to do some diagnostics. Figure out it's something in my (freshly REBUILT ) steering linkages. Well..everything looks solid...I'll creep it home on backroads. I get home..no issues...but I can't track down the noise...(my arms aren't long enough to turn the wheel AND have my head under the car!)
Roomates son gets home from school.. I tap him for some assistance. After about 5 min of him cranking on the wheel in "the sweet spot" that's making the noise I determine that it's the outer tie-rod end, drivers side. Sounds like that Blankity-blank-blank is bone-frellin' dry in there..no lube. No problem.. I'll just pop the handy-dandy grease gun on that....SUNOVA....
Brand freaking NEW component that DIDN'T have a Zerk fitting installed!!!
Is there any way to lube this bish without having to drill/tap/install a zerk fitting?
(and I'm supposed to drive up to Shelton for me nephews B-day tomorrow after work!! )

I got it licked... I just dug out one of my left over syringes, packed it with grease (four times), slapped on a 21gauge hypo, and injected it into the boot.....about 1 CC total. It should work it's way into the pocket in a couple of days.
