OME Flex!

Hey guys,

I've searched this topic for hours with no luck. But I just gotta know, how well does the front OME springs for our trucks flex? Pictures please! I bought OME for the ride quality and durability, but it would be nice if they flexed pretty decent. I sometimes question my decision and want to go RUF and a TG spring out back. Prove me wrong!

So post your OME flex pictures! You 84-85 guys can participate also, if you happen to see this!

Thanks

oh wait, you want to see it flex on a rock or something don't you??? I'm actually curious about this too. My chassis is in storage while I work on the body, but I'm thinking that I may just run over there with a jack to see what it can do. It wouldn't be fully weighted down, but it might give you an idea of what it can do. My rear shackle angle is all jacked up without the bed weight on it, but the front should show well.

Oh, by the way, Toyospearo has OME springs on his 82. You might want to ask him for some flex pics

Here's a shot of his 94 flexing. I'm pretty sure he has OME rears on that truck.

Yeah I'd like to see his 82 flexed. I've seen OME do well in a RUF configuration but not just regular front OME springs up front.

These are brand new, so that's partly why the rear didn't flex very much, but the OME's are also more designed towards expedition and weight hauling(their rear springs, anyhow), so that may be part of it, too. I'd still rather have a rear tire lifting and be locked in the rear than a front tire lifting when offroad, though. Anyway, this guy did a fairly good write-up on them, and there's a couple pics of them flexing some.
