Hey man before you replace them leafs you oughta get a hold of some of that prop-wash stuff...get em good and lubed up and then wrap them with empenage and see where that leaves you. As fer the brakes I'd grab some flightline extentions and stick them in there. Seein' as how well you handled that headlamp sitiation this'll be a breeze an save you a bundle.

in my experience. i have an 82 and it used to have 32x11.5 tires. first off the engine had a little harder time turning them. but not too bad. the other thing is my tires rubbed when turned all the way either left or right. here is a pic of my truck from a long while back.

its now lifted about 10" with 33's.
If i were in your position, i would buy and completely install the lift first. do it right the first time and it saves money, in a way. i tried cheeting on my lift kit and it became spendy.

Good call on spring lift front and rear. Blocks are a really bad idea. I would reposition your front brake line brackets so the brake lines don't over extend if you wheel hard. You can keep your tires from rubbing on the springs by adjusting the bolts out on the back side of your hub. Not sure what they're called but they stop the wheel from turning too far and keep your tire from rubbing on the spring. You can do alot of damage if you're tire hits your springs. If you've got the money I would get 4:88 gears front and rear and at least a locker for the rear.

I get the distinct impression due to the fact that the post was ignored that perhaps I went to far giving you crap. I'm a firefighter and we're tough on each other. I don't want to be known for beating up on new guys. I couldn't resist on the headlight thing but I wasn't looking to chase you off or anything. Good luck with your mods and welcome.

i have 33x12.50's on my 81, stock. the offset wheels make it rub on the firewall side of the fender. no big deal. should be fine with 10.50's, especially with stock wheels.
