Man I just can't get over how well built and the craftsmanship that they put into these motors 33 years layer and you can still see the original crosshatch like the day it came off the show room floor unbelievable

Do you just have a mobile and no computer?
This looks like a clean head to me. There's no paint. It would be pretty silly for a machine shop guy to paint your head without asking, and without charge.

Looking through your photos...good thing you're doing this work. Your engine looks like my 83 did. Whoever was in there last thought if a little rtv is good, a TON must be great. They even used red on the exhaust manifold! Wow.

Got all the timing components done today I'm gonna hopefully get my oilpan and head put on wish me luck for no oil leaks man I've went through 20 cans of brake clean making sure every thing is clean, but I.have a problem I can't get my old plugs out of my intake manifold to put the new ones in I bought the block off kit from lc I've soaked it in pb blaster tried everything and can't get them out so if anyone has a intake manifold laying around I need one bad

Looks nice!
What plugs are you talking about? What are you blocking off? EGR ports, or are you doing the whole emissions delete?
And what's that triangle shaped piece of metal towards the passenger side on your engine?

Yeah I went through ridiculous amounts of brake cleaner when I did my oil & water pump, and head gasket. Might as well get things nice & shiny looking while you're in there! It's great to look at a nice clean engine, even if it's only for a little while. My oil pan & timing cover gaskets are still original so I know I'll still have some oil build back up on mine.

There's one bolt on the oil pump that calls for thread sealant. You did that, right?
And I hear you on the leaks. I was really really happy when I drove around and my new oil pump wasn't leaking a drop.
