brake pad install- no wire clips!
I replaced my front brakepads the other day. It is a quick and easy job, but the pads did not come with the retainer clips, and the old ones were toast
Actually, the ones that hold the pins in place were OK, but the other ones were useless, and fell apart while I was working them. Does anyone sell just the clips?
I've usually gotten them with the pads. The pads installed OK, and the pins are held in OK, but the ones that push out on the pads are gone. Are they necessary?

You can go to any auto store ; autozone, kragen, etc.. and they sell just the clips not expensive and as far as being necessary... i had a truck without them and it stopped fine but for the amount of money they cost just put them on..help with rattling around n such..
