what? cherokee's haven't had frames since 1983, when they were fullsized jeeps like mine (and most people don't know them as cherokees, just 2-door wagoneers). the XJ's are unibody.

Don't get rid of it. Other than the front end, the truck looks to be a bit of a gem. The sentimental value is just another reason to keep it. I've had an 82 in my family my whole life (dad bought it new), so I know how there's a bit more to the truck than the truck itself. Anything in repairable, it's just a matter of how dirty you want to get.

i would love to keep it but my dad doesnt want to keep it. so what he says goes. i loved it and it should be up for sale in a few days if anyones interrested.

You have had it at $600 OBO for about a month? Dunno, depends on how bad you need the cash or dad wants his driveway back...Have you had any offers at all? If it was 4x4 I would have bought it if I was local...I know Slacker (Corey) could use the cab, just shipping from Arizona is a killer...

yeah it ws posted for 600 forever and ZERO offers. my took it and sold it for 400 to a guy who parts them out to a foreign country.
