SOCAL Deep Creek to Silverwood lake trails

Hey guys...had a great opportunity to go on a little outing with my best bud. We started out in Lake Arrowhead, then headed out to Deep Creek, made our way to Silverwood Lake/Miller Creek and back to Arrowhead! It was about a 4 hour run. The weather wasn't bad and the trails were nice and clear! We are expecting some snow but, you know how that goes!

Enjoy!

Some really harsh rocks! Wish I had some more height and bigger tires! It was a challenge to go up and down these rocks! Good thing for a spotter..ended up leaving a few scrapes of my crossmember for memories!
Notice the driver rear wheel in the air already..had a better view but, my buddy didn't snap the camera button all the way! LOL

Yes...IFS...but, will be long travel soon

Running through some mud!

Stopped for a break at the Pinnacles staging area

Yeah these trails can accomodate a stock 4runner with no problem...That is what I have...all I did was add some rear shackles to even it out since the rear sagged really bad. You will need 4wd on some areas that are steep and rocky...For the most part it was a breeze with lots of good scenery!!

Yeah I am deciding on some tires right now...they still have a lot of life left on them believe it or not! LOL!

A buddy of mine who is another fab kinda guy will be helping me out with the long travel...just gotta save up some more $$ to do it...almost there!

If you guys feel like going ...I may be up there again in a few weeks after I finish moving...there is some snow right now..we got about 3 inches last night! PM me your info and # so that I can call you next time I am going out.

Take care guys!
James

Did you go up or down Deep Creek? I've only ran it downhill, I'd be curious if a stock 4runner can make it up.
