Eventually i was able to work it enough to realize the very top stud was the one putting up a fight. It had rusted to the carrier and did not want to let go. I've never had one so rusted and stubborn with not being able to slide the diff out. After spraying it multiple times rest of the day and during the night i tried again after work the next day.
