Carb help needed!!

Since the head and all have been rebuilt on my truck it drives well. I had to drive it all the way from Mississippi 14hrs back to Va where Im from. The truck did fine. But ever since the drive, the idle has been running really high!! Which means its killing my gas!! Does anyone these days know how to take care of this type of problem w/out puttin it in a shop and spending hundreds to thousands?? Any help would be greatly appreciated guys!! :)
