Hello y'all,
I found this forum about a few weeks and love this place. I stop by this place everyday. I have a question and need your advice.
I have 98 SR5 and bought it since brand new. It has 54K miles on it right now. It never been driven off road or anything. I take a very good care of it even more than my wife and house. I drive it to work and park it for 8 hours and drive home. According to the manual or Toy recommendation that I need a timing maintenance at 60K miles. I inspected all my belts and it's in great condition. Should I change go ahead and do it or wait til 80K miles? Thanks for any inputs

Are you talking about the timing belt or the valve clearance? If its the belt, why take any chances? Rubber belts deteriorate in time no matter how you use your ride. I would change it at the recommended interval. The valve clearance check is less critical. If you dont hear any valves ticking, I would let it be.
