i Just bought a 1985 truck with a efi 22r motor that has a huge knock. Its loud, and it hardly runs. I have a rebuild complete engine is another 85 truck but its a carb 22r engine. Is there a way to mate the carb block to the efi system in the efi truck?

 

85 engines are both the same (efi vs carb)

Swap the manifolds, the knock sensor, fuel filter stuff and go for it.

 

You'll have to drill and tap the R block for the knock sensor.
