Summit brand sound dampening?

This stuff is pretty cheap, I was wondering if it is worth it? My interior is so dang loud. I read about putting carpet padding in 1/4 panels. I have the vinyl flooring so I don't know if I can put this stuff under their or not. I will glady appriciate suggestions.
Please Help

Thanks

Look for QUICK FIX at home depot. It is used as a window sealer. Typically its about 6" wide and about 50' long in a roll for 14.99. Asphault based and aluminum foil backed. Double layering that (its about 1/8" thick) and putting a layer of carpet padding attop that would DEFINATELY quiet your truck down! Put it on every surface you can!

Dynamat is the best, but it is $$$.
There are lots of other off brands, and most are decent, but realistically, when you buy sound dampening stuff you get what you pay for to a certain extent. Dynamat isnt good enough in my opinion to justify the price difference, but absolutely, Put it on EVERYTHING, we completely dissasemlbed a couple of interior and covered literally, EVERYTHING with it, and put everything back in, SOO quiet. I am thinking of ripping interior out of my Taco, the cab is SO loud, so much of it wind noise, I dont know how much I can quiet that down...

I used the stuff from home depot as stated above and I am happy with the results. I used it everywhere with some closed cell foam on the doors and floors with some new carpet padding and the 4runner is as quite as my acura RL. Not quite as quiet but close.
