Flight Simulator game

I am in the middle flight lessons right now. I truly love the freedom of flying. I am enjoying the book work. It was recommended that I look into a flight simulator program for the pc.

What does everyone reccomend? What kind of control stick setup?

Please chime in.

My manager just bought the new Microsoft flight simulator. He said that its really choppy because it was designed for extremely fast computers. That being said, I would recommend the previous Microsoft flight simulator. He had played that for a while, and within the past 3 months, started taking actual flight lessons. His flight instructors where amazed with how well he was doing. After showing them that he's learned a lot of it from the flight simulator program, they've trying to figure out the best way to incorporate that program into they're lessons.

I think if he were to respond to this, he would tell you the same thing. As far as control stick set-up, I'll leave that to people who actually play them.

How quick is your manager's PC? Mine is pretty quick and works great for games.

His is very quick, can't rattle off stats to you about it though. The previous version of flight simulator worked flawlessly for him, but he was stating that the new simulator needs to be processed much faster, and due to that, a lot of people with the new simulator have been complaining about it playing somewhat choppy.
