Ok, received an 89 toy with no motor, so received a motor (22re) from a guy, he said it was a 90. I had to switch all the injectors and sensors on the motor because none of the plugs matched my harness. A couple of you thought maybe the engine was a 92 due to not being plug and play. I also noticed the old motor had the resonator connect to a valve under the intake toward the firewall, this motor has the valve under the intake but up front and they have a hose going from the valve that I thought was suppose to hook to the resonator going to the intake right next to the throttle body??? I am starting from scratch and my haynes manual is useless. I need someone to take some detailed engine shots covering all the vacuum hoses and fuel hoses like the ones that connect to the charcoal canister.....I'm pretty much dead in the water till I can get picks to go from. I wish they would have taken pics or marked stuff when they removed it.....must be why they gave it to me...lmao.
