my oil light is coming on when revved and out of first gear is my pump bad?

my oil light is coming on when revved and out of first gear is my pump bad?

hey guys this is my first threaed on hear, so i hope it is successful

my oil light is coming on when i am in neutral and rev it up and then goes off at about 3 grand on the tac

and when i am stopped and put it in first to start going it comes on from about 1500 to 2500 on the tac

could someone please let me know what to do, i'm not sure whats going on

could be, or the pressure sender could be bad. Which engine is this?

22re, if it's the pressure sender is it ok to drive til i can buy a new one???

and if it's the pump is it ok to drive, i dont want to ruin it, there is less then 30 miles on the motor, so i dont want to break it

is this a rebuild or 30 miles new to you truck if this is a project truck please post some of the mods you did like if you changed the guage cluster ect.

Has the light come on since you rebuilt the motor? Sounds like the machine shop left out the infamous galley plug behind the timing chain cover.

Oh yeah, that one sucks. Not as bad as the one on the back of the block I left that one out on my very first rebuild.

hey guys, i figured it out, the dumba$$ that owned the truck before me put a oil pressure sender from an sr5 that has the guage in the cluster and on the regular trucks that dont have it on the guage have a different pressure sender, thanks for your help guys, and i tryed to reply to the guys that tryed to help me out but my internet is no good
