Ugh, unbolt it and replace..... It's cake.

Drops out from the bottom no problem.

I don't believe it will clear without either unbolting the motor mounts and raising the engine or you can drop the front diffirential. I had the same problem once on a toy and once on a big block chevy. It amazes me that a part that has been saturated in oil its whole life can rust through.

Must have rusted through from the outside. There is one advantage to a leaky oil pan gasket, keeps the outside of the pan from rusting

Maybe if you have a supension lift you can drop the pan without removing the diff or lifting the engine?

[forest gump voice]Boy, are you stupid or something?[/forest gump voice]

Lemme guess, you drive a 2 wheel drive truck right?

On a 4x4 you either have to drop the front diff, or if you have a body lift on the truck, unbolt the motor and jack it up 5 or 6 inches and it will just barely slide out. I did mine the latter way because I have a 3" BL on my truck. You have to jack it waaay up but you can get clearance with a 3" bl on the truck.

It's a major pain in the ass...
