Carbon Fiber Ideas for my '99 T4R

hey all,
i just got access to carbon fiber and i can make my own custom anything for free. I have limits though. basically anything i put in a press will come out looking really good, but anything i put in a mold/oven will come out with some cosmetic marks. We make carbon fiber to function, not to look good so the ovens and equipment are not state-of-the-art. I am looking for ideas on what to make. I mainly want to make flat stuff in the press (skidplates, custom side steps, gauges, door sills, etc). If you have any ideas for me, post'em. i might be able to make it and post pics.
thanks

I think a CF skid plate would look pretty damned cool...

Most of my time though would probably be spent inside the truck. Some people hate CF, some love it. I love it personally.

Other interior ideas off the top of my head: dash cover, custom console, door plate covers, rear panels , gauge plate (if you can get in there to install it), and possibly radio trim or backing behind the airco switches...

And be sure to post pics.

looks like any molded CF i make can be touched up with a coat of resin to give it the professional glossy look, so now anything is possible. thanks for the ideas ovrrdrive.

I'm going to go ahead and say the CF skidplate woud get destroyed by even small rocks... so I would avoid that.

I would try replacing several of the dash surrounds with CF, that would pretty good.

Are the things that you are going to make, going to be covers or full replacement parts with the proper clips and such?

How about a CF rear wing, to replace the metal one?

I only like CF parts on sports cars. But it's cool you're making your own stuff.

How about a CF snorkel? Wind deflector?

CF intake tube would look tight and you could easily mold it to increase airflow. CF dash and stuff like that is a good idea as well.. avoid exterior CF stuff as it will get destroyed
