3.4L Supercharger: Which injectors fit?

So... I bit the bullet and bought a supercharger.

As anyone who has tried to do a more correct S/C installation knows, there is many headaches involved, which means searching, searching, searching. Sadly, I have been there, done that and even tried to contact some people with no success to find my answer to:

Which injectors fit in our engines?

My plan is to get a hold of some that are meant for Toyota engines but are not specifically listed to fit the 5VZ-FE (some Supra non-turbo injectors for example).

If anyone has any insight into this, I'd appreciate the help. I promise I'll keep track of what I am doing, costs etc. etc. (maybe even a thread) to help others later on.

TIA

non-turbo supra injectors are low impedence. our stock injectors are high impedence.

now that said the supra injectors will work with the supra resistor box. just have to do some splicing in the wiring harness. thats what i will be doing.

Oops, sorry about the wrong section, it was late at night and I didn't make many new threads after the format change. Anyway, thanks for all the info. I am planning to go the URD route (not with the kit, but basically not 7th injector). The problem is that I can't afford to buy the kit new so I am looking for parts on eBay and I found some injectors which say they are Toyota compatible but how would I know? I'll post up some comparison shots...

If I do get Supra injectors, that's good to know, thanks. But which Supra injectors physically fit without having to mess with the manifold?

I probably should've been more clear...I have re-searched a lot of corners about the supercharger. I am the type that would not install any mod without extensive research. It's just that once you hit a sweet spot and you're stuck.

Which I happen to have some of the nonturbo supra injectors I'm not planning on using, new in box, and will sell for a good price. Normally they are $100 each from some of the dealerships/online places including trdparts4u. I'm willing to sell them for less than that. PM me if you're interested, make an offer, etc.

I've been running Supra 312cc 23250-70080 injectors for 20k miles with no problems. They are 13.4 ohm direct plug fit. You will need to use the supra lower grommet for spacing. I added the Walbro 190lph fuel pump. I'm running the stock ECU and finding long term trims around -6~-8. Open loop is a little rich at idlle.

I am pretty sure I installed the 86.5 - 91 Supra non-turbo injectors, but I would have to confirm with Mark (midiwall). What's strange is that they should be 312cc, but mine were balanced and flow tested at a dead even 308cc. The injectors I installed are "brown tops." They fit much differently than the stock injectors. It freaked me out at first, but there was no need to worry. Once you torque down the delivery rails they fit snug. Oh, and they are a direct fit with the existing injector plugs.

Below is the thread I posted when I was first having issues. Again, all is well now. You have to have a piggyback to get it to run right though. They were adding almost 25% too much fuel at idle. I had to back the global fuel trim to -2.

It'll be a while 'till I get injectors, but I'll definately give you a ring ring once I get to that stage.

Thanks! Do you by any chance know which Supra they come from? Or at least...which non-turbo engine? 2JZGE or 7MGE?

I have been through your thread before, I am actually going through it again to see if I might've missed something.

Here are the injectors I am looking at (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting) . Do you think they would be a good match for me?

I do plan on getting a piggyback when I get the injectors, should I get one for timing before the injectors tho? Would it help me any?

Thanks for all the help, the more the better for my thread. I won't disappoint

Yeah, definitely get a piggyback for timing before injectors like I did.

Do you have any feedback on the injectors I saw on eBay or should I call out for Gadget (Yodel!) for advice, because I am really running out of places to look and I think Google is getting mad at me for bandwidth usage

I honestly don't know if those will fit. I do have a friend on here (blink) aka "Doug" that has some at home. He might be willing to sell them. Drop him a PM and tell him I sent you.

Be sure to get them cleaned and flow tested by WitchHunter as I know Doug's injectors have not been cleaned.
