No more skinny tires for Goldmember....
After loving my 33x10.5 BFG AT's for the last year, it is time for an upgrade...especially after my recent SAS.
Found these X-Terrains on Craigslist today and snatched them up
I figure the 33x12.5's will be better than the 10.5's...Plus I am tired of how the AT's sandblast my sliders and bumper...

That will look great. I went to 4wheelparts truckfest today and they were selling 37x12.50x17 x-terrains for $450 a set! I couldn't believe it, they were cosmetic blems but said they were gauranteed to be good tires.

I love my 33x12.5's, it handles much better than the 10.5's and I am not nearly as tall as you are. Right now my 31x10.5's are on the runner and I hate driving it compared to the 33x12.5's, so I could just imagine what 33x10.5's would feel like. What type of rims are you going to get? Post pics when they are mounted. Let us know how the xterrains do.

I couldnt find much negative feedback on them, and for the price I figure I will give them a try....
They will probably work pretty good in the desert terrain here in So Cal.

They should look good on the Toy. You've got enough lift for the aethestics of it all too. Increased ground clearance is always a plus as well. Looking forward to the pics. When are you having them mounted? Just a note - I had to replace one of my BFG's after BB and decided to also buck up for the free lifetime replacement @ $16.00 a tire. Oh yeah, this was at Discount. They base the warantee on the remaining tread on the tires. Four Wheel Parts may be able to flow you a similar deal seeing as they are their brand. JMTC

Looks like a good pick up.
I am interested to hear from someone who uses them in a more "average" setting. The comp compounds on the 40s are a whole different animal. You have rocks in CA and regular road, so I am interested in reports.
I also think this modest tire thing makes sense on those rigs, to a degree. I remember very distinctly hitting the road with 33's and 5.29's on my 3.0/auto. It really felt wound out, I always wondered how I was going to run more rubber when I couldn't run more gear.
