how to lubricate the rear window assembly

since i put a new tailgate with a "window" in I have yet to get it to roll up with the switch.I got my power probe out and just plug it in the lighter and jump the circuit.the question.How do i lubricate the assembely that rolls the window up.I did a search.thank you.NH

have you pulled the panels off of the tailgate exposing the insides? have you seen the motor work at all? if not test it at the plug, either with a spare battery or a jump pack. the motor has a black round plug. unplug it and take a piece of wire and touch the two terminals and see if it is good. just switch the wires around if it is going the opposite direction that you want it to. if that works then start checking the other safety switches, top switch, window wiper switch, and lock switch. first i would check the relay. unplug it and pop the cover off just to see physically what kind of shape it is in. before i started trouble shooting my system i checked the relay and it was rotten. it was hanging upside down and obviously got rained on. but if all you want to do is lube the regulator just take the panels off and lube it up.

I use silicone spray lube on my window slides, it works great for me and it isnt oily.

thanks ya'all,like i posted have gone over most of the things mentioned by toyaholic and now just roll up and down with this power probe asscessory.PLUG INTO THE CIG. LIGHTER AND PUT THE NEG JUMBER ON WHICHEVER POLARITY I NEED(up or down) and point the lead accordingly. press the button on the handle to deliver power.Kind of a PITA but...silicon i will try. regards,NH.oh, sorry for all the bloody caps..
