2003 Wiper Relay

How apparent is the sound of the wiper relay for all you? The sound is quite obvious before each sweep of the blades on mine. I’d like to know if this is something I should get fixed.

While on the subject of windshields…rock hit the sucker today , nice dime sized chip there now.

I hadn't noticed any abnormal sounds with mine. I always have the radio on though, so that may mask any soft noises. Maybe go to the dealer and listen to some others so you can compare.

Sucks about the windshield already getting chipped. I have had to get both rear tires repaired since I bought it in January. Giant nail in one tire and a 3/8" OD blunt pin in the other.

Good thought, I’ll have to take a listen next visit to the dealer.
Thanks and watch out for those nails,
Kevin

How about some irony…
I arrived to work with a nail in the rear tire this morning. Should’ve yielded to my own advice. What a week…

I haven't noticed much sound coming from the wiper relay, but I have noticed that the blades make a lot of noise while wiping across the windshield. It makes the same sound it would if the windshield were dry, maybe it has something to do with that new treatment the glass has from the factory?
I had a nail in one of my tires 2 weeks after buying the truck. Ironically it happened when I pulled into a garage at my work to put air in the tires! :pat:

Use Rain-X and you won't need the wipers.....
