looking to buy, where to find stuff?

Ok, so I am looking at a '99 4runner that has the sc already installed. The truck is at a dealer, and the dealer says it was installed at initial purchase from toyota. I am wondering if there are any easy things to look for so far as 7th injector, upgraded injectors etc. that I would desire if purchasing this rig? Aka where can I look for stuff, what should I look for? Even if it doesn't have any extra upgraded equipment, is 12,000 a decent price for a clean 114k mile 99 with rr locker and tow package, at least these were the big things I looked at/for? Thanks in advance!
Dan

Yeah I sort of thought that too from a dealer, but they had to put in new w/s, tires, have to paint the front bumper from rock chips, and I found some damage to the lower air dam/ foglight area they hadn't seen, and the mileage is high for the year according to kbb, edmunds, nada. Also there is very slight evidence that it was a smoker vehicle, which I also pointed out, but they may have taken into account. the dealer had mainly 03 and newer stuff though, and they may just be wanting to make a few bucks on a vehicle they paid 8 grand in trade value on? I am going back to look tommorrow after they get the bumper etc done, and see how it drives. Would they also mark value up or down for the sc? Since most buyers want an un-modified car?

i would play dumb, ask about the SC and ask about the fuel, ask if you have to run Premium fuel, then say oh man, i have to run premium gas all the time, talk him down.
oh Welcome to yotatech

Yeah definitely play dumb, you should just look at the stuff that would matter to the average buyer, and don't even mention the S/C unless it is brought up, you could do something like "What does that do? Does that need premium fuel, because that is EXPENSIVE..."

If you get that thing for under 12, it'll be one heckuva deal. BUT, keep in mind that you'll need to do about $2500-$3000 of work to it to make it a good, reliable Toy with that S/C on there, or you could put a regular intake back on and sell the supercharger here, which wouldn't be too bad of an idea.

BTW, is it 4x4?

EDIT:
It sounds kind of cheap, so one more thing: careful what you sign, and get an inspection done my a certified mechanic with a written report that you keep. Could be they know it has problems and will try to get you to sign a "Warrantee Waiver" or "As-Is" clause when you buy. READ EVERYTHING YOU SIGN. EVERY LAST PARAGRAPH OF EVERY PAPER. Ask for a 30 or 60 day warrantee, to make sure the thing isn't just ready to die on you. The more annoying and careful you are, the less likely you are to run into problems. Go to www.carbuyingtips.com and read about buying used cars from dealers, so you don't get screwed.
