Which one-uh these is the temp sender? *pic*

Yo Yo Yo Yotatechers, im tryin to run down this overheating prob in my 87runner I just bought and a 15buck temp sender sounds alot better then 180 for the 3core rad at the moment. But which one of these doods here is the temp sending unit? And whats the other one?

I tried unhookin both to see if the guage pegs out but no dice, also I got a 22ret with the stock digi guages that are turnin out to be a royal pain in the arse. Fuel guage shows empty and it never holds more then 10gallons after that, so either theres somethin screwy or the PO stuffed a circus midget into my gas tank :bounce2:

anyways

I beleive the 1st one is for your gauge, and the 2nd one is for the ECU.

#1 is your temp gauge sender and#2 is the efi temp sensor for the ecu. hint the temp gauge sender is only 1 wire.

Your prize is none other a nice piece of advice from me to you

"Never get into a cage with a lion."

I once told my mom this when I was 4years old, and she claims I was totally serious about it. Now I regret it because 1. She already knew this and 2.She would go on to tell every girl I ever brought home this story in full detail the second she meets them.

the temp sender for the ECU should be two wire, and it will be down next to the thermo time switch, not on the t-stat housing...
