Elton is right...budget is necessary for recommendations.

From there we can start throwing things at you.

For me, I'm not a fan of hooking up the ipod in the car. I like my ipod, but I always worry about someone stealing it, baking in the sun, etc. What I recommend, is getting an MP3 deck, so you can fit about 150 songs on a single CD. Also, what I'm thinking of doing is getting SIRIUS or XM on top of that.

As far as prices, you're looking to start at $100 then on up. That's just for the deck. A good amp for the speakers will cost around $200, then you'd want to upgrade the speakers, which will be $200+, then you'll want a sub, which you'd need an amp for that, as well, costing you about $500 for all (amp, sub, cap and wiring). That's $1000 minimum. It adds up quick.

I have a DUAL deck and love it. It has 55w which is a good start. The best part is that it plays MP3/WMA so you can play high capacity CD's. It also has an i-plug interface which connects the ipod with a minijack cable. As a cool touch, it opens with a motorized faceplate which just adds style points. The one I bought was about $150, but they make the same thing XM ready for a little more if you want. Check it out.

Ya, thats why I bought the Best Buy 4 year service plan for about 40 bucks, so if it does crap out, they'll replace it free.

You can get the ipod cable seperately for about $30 and it just plugs into your ipod and gives you near full control. You can stow your ipod in the glovebox that way.

Also, thats the best price you will probably find. And their customer service is GREAT. I have had several orders through them and can't say anything but GREAT things...i might also be able to hook you up with a 5% off coupon so PM me!
