I use mobile 1 in both my vehicles, always have.
Im sure there are a lot of good synthetics out though. I just
put it in my yota for the first time a couple weeks ago
and its already looking cleaner under my oil fill cap in
my valve cover, I thought that was pretty amazing it
actually cleaned out some of the black stuff that builds up over the
years on and old truck like mine.

Went from Mobile 1 to Amsoil in everything and noticed the engine was quieter and sliky smooth. All I hear now is the Charger gears rattlin'

I use Motul. Its the same stuff as the Subaru Rally team uses.
I pay about 60 CDN for it including the oil change.

Thank you everyone who vote here to help me out. So I decided to put the Mobile 1 5W-30. I asked a local Toyota dealer about the synthetic oil, told me you can use them but if you don't wanna avoid warrenty you have to change oil every 6000km. I thought it can run more longer than 6000km but Toyota wanna see that I change oil every 6000km. Weired huh? My dealer asked me to bring 7 liters of synthetic oil. If I do complete flush the engine oil, 7 liters are right amount? or wrong?

I will update this issue soon.

That is a crock about the oil change interval. Tell them to look at the recommended maintenance interval, established BY TOYOTA, where in the world did they get 6000km?

I dont feel like converting right now, but I know that is well under the 7,500 mile interval that my truck has under normal driving conditions.

For the record, I run synthetic and change my oil every 5K miles with the factory filter.

Who's your dealer? I bring mine to Regency Toyota in Burnaby.
They seem to be ok guys. It was prettty hard to find a decent
repair shop in Vancouver.

My local dealer is the Jim Pattison Toyota - North Vancouver, BC. I have service there since the day I bought my 4Runner. They are in the Automall Dr. (From Vancouver East, Burnaby Take Highway 1 West / Trans Canada Highway Cross Ironworkers Memorial (Second Narrows) Bridge into North Vancouver Take Westview Drive exit 17 and turn left (south) on Westview Drive Turn right (southwest) on Larson Road Turn left (south) on Fell Avenue, cross 1st Street and the overpass Turn right (west) on Automall Drive - Welcome!.) When you have service there I hope you like them. Try there. Cuz I like them.

I agree. My dealer told me 10,000 Kilometers, which is 6200 miles, is the first oil change interval and after that to stick with that regime of every 10K or 6200 miles.

This poll kinda shocked me... I JUST started using AMSOIL because of this board. Now it seems Mobile 1 is by far the most popular...

fwiw, I put amsoil 5-30 in my 2000 honda civic vtec. The engine is noticeably quieter and smoother. So far, I am happy with it.

Of course Mobile is used more than Amsoil, it is much more available. Just run to any auto store, wal mart, etc. A great oil anyway.

I use Mobil-1 10W30 since it's pretty cheap at Costco.

I chose the Mobile 1 High Mileage for Trucks simply because the Mobile is so much more readily available. It occured to me that in the event I ever needed to add (so far not) it would be better to be able to get the same oil rather than mix oils.
