FJ grill swap with 3rd Gen grill?

FJ grill swap with 3rd Gen grill?
The grill on the new FJ is so cool with the retro T-O-Y-O-T-A spelled out. I have seen the "The "Satoshi" Grill Mod" write-up but it is only for 96-98 3rd Gen 4Runners. The FJ grill looks rather small, but is there enough behind it that one could possibly be modded to fit a 3rd Gen Runner? Or would that just be impractical?
