Talking Look what the stork just dropped off! Turbo'd FZJ80

Just added a new member to the Yota family !

Here is a brief summary.

'96 FZJ80 94k
F&R Factory Lockers
Safari Turbo with intercooler, Unichip, and FMU
3" Downpipe, exhaust, high flow cat
HKS Turbo Timer
38 Gal. long range gas tank
3" OME Lift
BFG Mud Terrain 295/75/16
Heavy duty sway bars
ARB front bumper w/ Superwinch x9000, Hella's, and side bars
Rear Kaymar bumper w/ spare carrier, jerry can holder, hi-lift mount, telescoping work light, CB mount
Aussie rear drawer system
DBA Gold drilled and slotted rotors all around w/ braided lines
HID Conversion
Dual battery setup w/ red and yellow top Optima's
Center Diff lock mod

The last dyno run showed 325 ft/lbs of torque to the wheels with a perfect A/F ratio.

I can't wait to take this baby out and see what she can do. I think the first mod will be an upgraded VB followed by powder coated rims (too much bling.)

More PICS

Holy crap that thing is awsome!

I retrospect I should have gone with a LC and held out for a dual factory locker model.

It was in Shoreline, near Seattle, so I had to do a little driving to get it.
The rig was actually built and maintained by Toyota of Seattle (they were trying a new market). The owner used it for a while, then the General Service manager bought it. Every little item that has been done to it was performed by the dealership and documented. He gave me two, 2" thick folders with all paperwork, reciepts, dyno/tuning runs, etc. At dealer cost they easily had over $15,000 in extra parts alone.

He was asking $21,000 when I found it, and I got him dowm to $19,000. It booked out at $14,125, so I basically paid for the turbo and got everything else for free. Heck it even came with 6 matching wheels and tires. Tires only have 3000 miles on them. Tranny was also replaced at 60k and is still under warranty.

For modding it defintiely needs a VB upgrade, (and I thought the 4Runner autos were bad.... sheesh) and the bling wheels have to go. Besides that, I'm pretty set with how it is right now.

I plan to. It needs to get dirty SOON or it may end up like my 4Runner, too pretty to wheel. I should just go key it and get it over with. The first scratch always hurts the worse.

NO LIKE 425!!!!!!

Its pretty funny that you said that because that was the first thought I had.

Land Cruiser + $800 "long range" fuel cell = $125 fill ups to barely make it accross town SAWEEET!
