Is there a tire size you'd want to see more of?
The tire size I'd like to see more manufacturers sell (more specifically, the bigger name manufacturers such as the BFG A/T's, etc.) is 32 x 10.50 x 15 or 32 x 9.50 x 15 (I've heard of a few of the former, haven't heard of the latter).
The reason is because there are tons of advantages to going with the narrower tire for both mileage, & offroading reasons (for most anyways), but also still offering the increased diameter, etc.

I wish there were more options for a 33x10.50. There are a few, but not many I would actually consider.
What I'm tired of seeing is all these Mud terrain tires that come in 18, 20, 22, 24 inch rim sizes. They'll make a 37x18.50R24 but they can't make some reasonable 33x10.50R15s???
Honestly, What's with wide tires? They don't look very good and they are not as practical as a reasonable width tire thats tall. Those new Mickey Thompson Baja Radial MTZ's come in nothing narrower than a 15.50 width, that just "grinds my gears" to say the least.

35x10.5R15!!!
if a company made a good set of mud tires in this size, i'd be all over it. the only tires you can get in this size are boggers to my knowledge. yeah, boggers are tempting but i like having lateral traction as well, and TSLs are a better all around tire.
Q78s are close, but a little tall for my needs...

But the MTZ's do come in some normal widths....I'm getting 315/75/R17 (35x12.5) fitted to my 4runnner tomorrow.

33x10.50-15 is a FANTASTIC size for Toyotas and Jeeps. Seems like there would be a huge market out there for people making this size...
Why the big/wide tires for big rims? Because something like 58% of the "specialty equipment" market is full-size domestic trucks. They make product for those guys, and we're lucky if any of it "trickles down". Not only that, but since almost none of those trucks see serious off-road action, where most Jeeps do, the product is much easier to design and market - all it has to do is look cool!

Yeah I hate how measurments are off... Its why I have 35's.. I had 33 TSL Bias, 33.7 and didnt want bias anymore.. so why go down in size when 35 BFG's are only 1" taller, .5" on the radius...and heck they are easier to turn..

Wow, the opinions on tall & skinny tires has really turned around here, when I put 235/85/16 revos on a while back it didn't get a very warm welcome. I'm looking that the 34x9x16 narrow SS, I think those would be great for my 85. It would be nice to see more options in that approx. size

34/5 X 11.5 X 16 or its metric equivalent...315/75/16's are the closest i think. but i would rather have a bit narrower than 12.5's since i find the 285's plenty wide, just not tall enough

As mentioned above, the Q78-15 Super Swampers are awesome. They're about 35x11. I've seen several Toyotas and Jeeps with them and they're great.
