emission performance with FJ

Has anyone noticed any sluggishnes or hesitation on a cold engine because of the strict emissions that are on the FJ?

No cold driveability issues at all on the M/T, at least down to about freezing temps. I think the fly-by-wire throttle, new 12-hole injectors and pre-cats do their jobs seamlessly.

Something you will notice cold or hot, but only in the M/T, is the engine "breathing" between shifts. It's an emission control function of the ECU to delay throttle closing and possibly higher CO out the pipe. Every recent Toyota/Lexus M/T I've driven behaves the same way, but the latest FJ tweaks do it smoother than ever.
