rear driveshaft options; 4" lift
Hey, I wanted to explore my options with a new rear driveshaft for my 1991 4Runner.
I just recently put in a 4" lift in the 4Runner, and naturally I now have a driveshaft vibration issue. While asking about another problem, someone had mentioned using a Tacoma front driveshaft, and usin the CV part of the two-piece shaft as my solution.
Has anyone else heard of this? I tried searching around for more info, but most point me towards companies like High Angle Drivelines, and I do not feel like putting a 1-ton driveshaft in for a 3.0-equipped 4Runner.
What year Tacoma does this come from? Is it a bolt on, or is drilling required? Are there any other solutions that won't be overkill, both on the 4Runner and on the wallet?
Please help, and thanks so much!
